Designing a Real Estate Website: Elevating the Real Estate Experience

Designing a Real Estate Website: Elevating the Real Estate Experience

I had the pleasure of helping professionals in diverse fields—from nonprofits to real estate—elevate their digital presence and connect more meaningfully with their audiences. Most recently, I had the opportunity to work with Allison Johnson, founder of Johnson Cinque, a real estate brand offering luxury and thoughtfully curated property options in the Charleston, SC area.

The Challenge: Showcasing Properties with Clarity and Elegance

As a real estate professional, Johnson Cinque needed a website that did more than just list properties—it had to reflect the lifestyle and exclusivity of each development while enabling seamless browsing and engagement. Key challenges included:

  • Differentiating multiple communities (e.g., Park West, Pontoon, Mermentau, Melrose, Bellwether, Legendres, College Park) in a unified navigation structure.
  • Presenting properties in a visually compelling way that matches the luxury and sophistication of the offerings.
  • Encouraging visitors to take the next step—whether that’s booking a consultation, attending an open house, or contacting the team.
  • Building credibility with testimonials and thoughtful “About” content—not just a transactional interface, but a welcoming experience.

The Strategy: Designing for Discovery, Trust, and Action

We approached the redesign with a clear plan to deliver an immersive and functional real estate platform:

Intuitive Navigation Across Communities

I embedded a clean, tiered menu that spotlighted each development—Park West, Pontoon, Mermentau, Melrose, Bellwether, Legendres, and College Park—making it easy for visitors to find the area that fits their lifestyle preferences.

Hero Section with Purposeful Call-to-Action

The homepage opens with a compelling headline: “Find your dream home in World‑Class Communities.” This immediately positions the brand as premium and aspirational. Directly below, accessible buttons like Properties, Book Consultation, and Contact give multiple explicit directions for engagement.

Property Browsing with Visual Appeal

Featured properties like “Mermentau St Estate,” “Pontoon Rd Estate,” and “Melrose Drive Residence” are showcased with elegant imagery and quick access links—maintaining a refined visual tone fitting of luxury real estate.

Seamless Booking and Event Integration

We integrated a Calendly booking widget so prospective clients can schedule consultations quickly and conveniently, from the site.
Likewise, highlighted Open House invitations—like the serene “Elms of Charleston” duplex event—include RSVP links to capture leads and drive real-time engagement.

Trust-Building Content

A discreet but powerful testimonial section lends authenticity—like Greg Hulcher’s positive experience, which underscores attentiveness, transparency, and care.
Additionally, concise but confident copy such as “Detail-oriented service for every client…” reinforces the brand’s values and client-first approach.

Results: A Website That Marries Style and Substance

The final website became more than just a listing platform—it turned into a digital extension of Johnson Cinque’s professionalism and attention to detail:

Through clean navigation, visual sophistication, and smart engagement tools, the Johnson Cinque website does just that—turning passive browsers into inspired, confident clients.
