Keep your business numbers

Switching carriers doesn’t mean new numbers. We help you move (port) your existing numbers to your new plan, so customers can still reach you.

Porting requirements

To move your numbers from your current carrier, please have these ready:

  1. An active account. Don’t cancel your old service yet. If it’s cancelled before the move is finished, you could lose the number.
  2. Account number with your current carrier. You’ll find it on your bill or in your online account.
  3. Transfer PIN or passcode. Most wireless carriers ask you to request a Number Transfer PIN from them before you switch.
  4. Account holder name exactly as it appears on the account (your business name for business accounts).
  5. Service address on file with your current carrier.
  6. The numbers you want to move. A list of every line.
  7. A recent bill from your current carrier, ideally from the last 30 days.
  8. Signed authorization from the account owner or an authorized user. We’ll send you a simple form to sign.

Good to know: mobile numbers usually move within a business day. Landline, VoIP and larger business moves can take longer. Your old carrier may still charge any final bill, device balance or early-termination fee, so check with them first. If you want to keep your phone, make sure it’s unlocked.
